Amazing stay! The Charmont is where grit meets elegance. A truly well appointed historical preservation renovation with equally attentive staff. We stayed on the fifth floor with a soaker tub and a view of the river. The bed and sheets and pillows were top notch. We had a very restful, peaceful nights stay. A bit pricey but absolutely gorgeous and comfortable.
This place is well-known for it's food and service. We didn't spend the night but we're there for a birthday celebration. The steak was okay but the green beans were hard and not cooked. The servers had to be prompted to refill water glasses. No one checked in with us on the satisfaction of the meal. For the cost versus satisfaction of meal and service I would not highly recommend it.
The elevator was really slow. Please speed up the elevator, safely of course.
I had an absolutely outstanding experience during my visit. Hallie was my server on the rooftop, and she was truly exceptional. Her attentiveness, warmth, and knowledge elevated the evening beyond expectations.
