Dr. Ira Gelb and his assistants have been skilled, efficient, and courteous in helping me deal effectively with the root of my knee problems.
Dr. Gelb has been a long time Orthopedic surgeon in my arthritis journey. I appreciate is frankness, his gentle approach and thorough assessment of my health. I appreciate him.
This may be a bit long, but I want to give a full picture. I have been coming to this practice for 10 years because when I was a child I broke a vertebrae and went undetected and undiagnosed till I was an adult. I saw Dr. Gelb at first and he was able to confirm my my spondylolisthesis. And for 8 years after with his care and physical therapy, I went normal and undisturbed. I am currently living with a disability, as confirmed by my recent physical examination. Unfortunately, during my appointment, I felt that the physician lacked empathy and compassion in his approach to care. Rather than addressing my immediate symptoms—such as sciatic pain, nerve pain, muscle shaking, leg and foot numbness, and persistent discomfort—he appeared primarily focused on gathering additional evidence for a diagnosis, rather than initiating treatment or offering meaningful support.
