Carlin started out by saying all of the right words to take my custody case to family court after 2 years in the Supreme Court. It soon became apparent that he was only interested in augmenting his billable hours, a small example: charging $140 to email the court address (only) . I had Alexander represent me in a prior case, and saw from then how unprofessional he can be, not only did he not respond promptly to time sensitive inquiries from the case at the time, but was very aggressive and confrontational in interactions. Nevertheless, I regretfully reached back out to him for a new case involving the same parties from the prior one, just for consultation and this is the response i get, mind you i was never advised that he was out of town. I would go with another firm

I was assigned by the court to have Mr. Carlin represent me. When we first met, he was very rude and didn’t wanna hear me out the first day. He said wait until it gets closer to time. I understood that and had to respected that. Time got closer and I had missed my appointment and asked him to contact me back.Through email and I never received the response so I contacted his office and finally I had got a response. I called for an initial phone consultation. This attorney cut my off multiple times and I felt this attorney was rude. I would not hire or trust such an attorney.
