The Candy Kitchen

About this business

The names evoke a sweet-tooth childhood: Slo Pokes, Turkish taffy and red string licorice. At least 500 varieties of Willy Wonka's nirvana fill jars, glass displays and wooden shelves. Remember Atomic Fireballs, Jaw Busters and Mary Janes? Here's the place to introduce your children to the wonders of another generation. A family business since the 1950s, Candy Kitchen has changed hands but not recipes and it's located in a brick Hansel and Gretel-style house!

We love The Candy Kitchen and always come here when we’re in town. It’s so cool to see all of the throwback candies from our childhood. We didn’t take a picture while we were there but we did take a pic of these two birds afterwards when we were “walking off” our delicious desserts (mint choc ice cream & a brownie sunday) we all shared 😋
