9 months ago, my wife and I travelled through a large slice of Western Australia, staying in a large cross section of accommodation along the way. By far the best find on our journey was a gem called The Brookton, a very tastefully executed, renovation and decorated slice of history that has to be seen to be believed. Just enjoyed another great 2 night stay with Kerry and her team who provided their usual wonderful hospitality. The restoration work on the cafe, bar and distillery is progressing apace. Garden landscaping, verandah hanging baskets and windows canopies have further enhanced the external of this character building. Just a short drive from Perth, Brookton is a perfect base to explore neighbouring towns. We enjoyed self-guided walk trails in Beverley, Pingelly and Brookton. The Brookton was a great surprise for us. My family enjoys going to Australian historical towns and this school holidays we decided to stay in Brookton. Kerry provided us with beautiful service during our 3 days stay. The hotel keeps you immersed in the "olden days" way of life through its furniture, decoration and utensils, while it also brings modern comfort such as a lift, aircon in the rooms and renovated shared bathrooms. Booking was super easy and being able to text with a real person was great. Host Kerrie welcomed us and guided us to our amazing room (the suite). It was huge, had a huge bed and all facilities in the room. We stayed 2 nights and it was very comfortable. Brookton is lacking cafes and a bit more eateries but the pub across the road did great quality pub meals. The Brookton is working on that though. Thanks to Kerrie and Sandra for a wonderful stay, and we can't wait till your cafe and pub will open soon!
