Some of the staff were friendly. This establishment was quite disorganized. They forgot to give the medicine l brought to the facility back when my daughter was discharged. A shuttle bus is needed for those whom catch the bus to this hospital. I have to figure out a way to pick up the medicine within a week window! I also didn't get to speak to my daughter sometimes do to shift changes. I think this facility is understaffed and therefore the current employees have tremendous work loads. I’m saying this with my deepest concern. I feel this place works better as a rehab by keeping you away from such things. Mental health not so much. Mixing people who need different kinds of treatments is not good for their health. It’ll trauma them further. Then not intervening when something does happen but instead watching them with a clipboard and documenting them like they’re some sort of social experiment is insane. We went to the Brook to visit a foster child going through some mental health trouble. They have a small window for visitation and we're not listed as individuals that could visit (even though we have parental rights at this time) Yasmin was very helpful in helping us contact DCBS and get the authorization we needed for visitation that day.

Terrible place! Treats the patients like inmates instead of understanding their mental health. They don't listen to patients needs. Failure to contact parents when adolescents have concerning health complications. Discharged high risks child twice in less than a months time. Increased new medications just hours before discharging of high risk patient.
