I’ve been looking for apartments recently in the midtown area, and the staff here were amazing! Very friendly, and special shoutout to Latoya, the manager! She gave lots of information and was nice throughout the process☺️
While apartment hunting, I checked out The Brentwood Apts. Latoya was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and I was able to get answers to all of my questions the same day. She even offered to help me fill out an application on the tablet in the office. I didn't have my pay stubs with me so I didn't, but she really sold me on the fantastic layout and the convenient location, and I'll apply once I have my new paystub this week. Looking forward to becoming a resident!
I lived here for a year from November 2023 to November 2024. About a month or so after moving in, the building stopped being cleaned weekly. The back entrance door was sticky and often would be able to be opened without entering the password. There were multiple times that dog poop was in the hallways and stairwells, along with a dead roach by the mailboxes. Neighbors left their trash bags in the hallway for days causing nasty odors. I recently checked out The Brentwood in Detroit and I’m really impressed! Latoya, the leasing agent, is super friendly and knows the building really well. She made the whole process easy and laid-back. The building itself is awesome—there’s so much natural light, which really makes the place feel open and airy. The architecture is gorgeous too, with that cool mix of old-school charm and modern touches. Plus, the location is on point! Latoya, the new community manager, is fantastic. She promptly answers questions and concerns big and small about the apartment, and is a really warm generous person to work with on top of it all. I had a problem with my keys, an issue with the shower, and a couple other concerns and each time I got in touch she was responsive and addressed these issues satisfactorily.
