As always, I had wonderful food, cocktail and service at The Breadfruit & Rum Bar last night. Simply one of the best restaurants anywhere. Talent + cordiality + community focused owners = a tremendous success (and one you should try and/or support). Cheers to all involved. Ya mon. I've been to Jamaica 15 times. This place is my little piece of the islands in the middle of the desert. Do you love Jamaica Rum Cream? Well, theirs is nothing like it. After the first drink, I was a little disappointed, but only in the fact it didn't taste like Sangsters. But after a few sips, I decided it had everything you'd want in a savory drink. the food is nothing if not fresh. The service was most excellent. Things be irie there mon. Respect.
Best cocktails and food of any place I've been downtown...great atmosphere...great music...fabulous food that is always fresh, interesting, and absolutely delicious. The Appleton Rum seared scallops are unbelievable and my favorite item I've tried. The Shim Sham cocktail is a seasonal drink and is so tasty with a hint of nutmeg that compliments the Rum and other ingredients just perfectly!!!
