Honestly, had good expectations going in. But wasn't really thrilled with the stay. The check in experience was painfully slow. There were no managers on, and only I believe one front desk clerk. We got the news about the hot water being out which wasn't a big deal to us. They needed the license plate for the parking at the garage...my gf said she knew it and could have said it during the check in process, and our car was out front. So we took our bags, dropped them off, gf went outside took a picture of the license plate, o... read more

No hot water for our entire stay. Better to stay in Cambridge and take the train downtown. The Marriott was great. This hotel had one waitress who was also doing room service for guests. Would not recommend.

A surprise " amenity fee" of $29 was added to the bill. Receipt Is emailed so I received the +$29 surprise when no longer at the hotel. Receptionist could not explain why I was charged and refused to reverse the charge. Will never stay again. Shameful, unethical business practice.

I stayed at The Boxer for a business trip, which included a Bruins game at TD Garden. That said, the location was very convenient for me, and it's a very simple walk around the corner to get to TD Garden. I would rate this hotel higher if not for a few key points that made it a less than perfect experience. I'll start with the biggest, most glaring issue: The beds: I had a king sized bed on the 8th floor. These beds are outrageously soft, and so are the pillows.
