A century ago, the Lower East Side was a destination for vaudeville shows and cabaret, and The Box seeks to capitalize on this history by bringing back a burlesque vibe. The Box is an opulent restaurant and theater, comprising two bars and a stage. It attracts the hottest and quirkiest performers and musicians, and can also host private events. Try to get on the list for this much sought after destination. Check the website for details of upcoming events.

Completely Disgusting – I use to go the The Box a lot in the past and unfortunately the show has completely gone down the drain. Not at all entertaining but now repulsing. They are completely going for shock value and its frankly just disgusting. My service was horrible to say the least and it was just poorly run from the moment we walked through the door. I do not recommend going there on a full stomach or if you want to get lucky that night.
A little Bit Of Everthing – I was taken to the box by a trio of strippers that my wife and I met on a dinner cruse to see the fourth of july fireworks. We did not know that they were strippers at the time. They were really into my wife and really really hot, so we ran with it. The one girl who was familiar with the place talked to the door man. she then told me that we could get in and get a good table if I gave the door man $400. No problem. Also, there would be a 2 bottle minimum. No problem. The table was great! Right nex... read more
Not a place for the timid! – By far one of the coolest places in the city. Once you get inside, the place is straight out of a movie. The staff is extremely nice and hospitable(they even pass out popcorn!). The crowd is a nice mix of different types of people of all ages. The show was a crazy. I have never seen such a show before and never will again. This place rocks with originality. Love it.
Astounding acts--and prices--at Simon Hammerstein's freak show of a dinner theater. – In Short This intimate, intoxicating theater is a two-story collage of lush fabrics, fringes, chandeliers, feathers and curtains, and the colorful stage production recalls the Folies Bergere of 1920s Paris. Marveling the modern-day audiences are forgotten turn-of-the-century virtuoso acts--fire-eaters, knife-throwers, contortionists--accompanied, of course, by lovely little helpers in pasties. Those seated on the main floor become the playt... read more

Beautiful interiors and great shows. – Good vibe...good service. Muy expensivo though. Enjoy the late night 3am show, if you can get in. The balcony can't be reached to view the show by the way unless you have a booth there.
The box – yeah this palce gets packed, packed with celebrities, like lenny kravitz, mick jagger, lindsey lohan, scarlette johnassen, & some famous bands. I can't believe this is working in the neighborhood but I love it (when they let me in!)
A new era begins – This place takes nightclub to a new plateau! great sight lines, awesome sound and quality space. The is a amusing spectacle and the women are hot. This place has it all, but mostly delicous! good luck getting in.
