The first review I just wrote moments ago, I gave it NO STARS but it wouldn't let me publish it, wiped it out into cyberspace ... so here it is again. This place has been a favorite of myself and my son's for many years. We would stop in on the weekends for lunch on our bike rides. He is 27 now and lives in CA. Ordered prime rib worst I ever had it was more like a horse Absolutely will not return discourteous staff. Food was cold and unappealing.
This place DESPERATELY NEEDS HELP the pork that i had was so undercooked I was afraid i would have some parasite crawling through me. The floor was grimy and disgusting. when i left i had a horrible stomach ache and had to rush to a restroom and throw up. This place either needs help or to be taken down so nobody else has to suffer.
We visit family in davenport once or twice a year and we enjoy coming to The Boat House during our stay. Its a great location, the food is consistantly good and everyone who works there has always been pleasant. We have recommened this place to family and friends who have enjoyed it as well. We will be back again next time we are in town!
