Food was decent, service was okay... Not being honest and explaining automatic gratuity over $100 felt like a scam. Waiter came to our table twice, in no way did that service deserve a $45 tip I had no choice in paying.
Awesome place. Tried that Deckhands place in Round Rock and were consistently disappointed sometimes revolted. Then people told us about The Boat. Excellent everything! Food, service, price, quality, portion sizes, friendliness, cleanliness - everything. Great place.
I've been coming to Austin for every week over a year, staying at the hampton in next to here, and never tried it. Biggest regret I have! The food is fantastic! Ordered a cup of gumbo to start, it was very flavorful and had a nice spice to it that wasn't overwhelming. This might have been the best gumbo I've ever eaten.
