The apartment is alright. We have lived here for 4 years and it hasn’t gotten better. Pipes are always broken and water will be down for hours they get plumbers and all that but does it do anything… no it doesn’t. We got a warning for sitting on stairs to watch our kids play outside and many kids scream at like 10 pm screaming and crying and no matter how many people complain to management nothing happens. I am a former resident of the Bluffs Apartments, and my experience, particularly with the move-out process and final billing, was frustrating and unacceptable. I ended my lease early after my car was vandalized in my assigned parking spot of the apartment complex. While that situation alone raised serious concerns about tenant safety, the way management handled my move-out and final billing was even more concerning. Just like Ellyse my review from 2023 also seems to have been removed. I don’t have the energy to revisit the horrific experience I had with management, but they had to let me out of my lease because my next door neighbor was smoking cigarettes inside his unit causing my unit to also stink. Like others have said, there’s a reason this place is the cheapest in Carlsbad. Steer clear.
JUST FYI- I had a previous review of the Bluffs that exposed how disgusting this place is. However, it must have been fraudulently flagged by them to keep the truth from prospective residents. SO here it is again. When I initially moved in, things looked decent from surface level and I decided to move in. Worst Maintenance Ever at The Bluff at Carlsbad This place has the worst maintenance I’ve ever seen. There’s no safety, and the staff doesn’t care about residents’ problems. My refrigerator needed repair, and I complained several times online and in person still no one came. I even went to the office four times, and nothing happened. The whole community has only one maintenance guy! That’s ridiculous. If something serious breaks, good luck getting it fixed anytime soon. Terrible service from the main leasing office.
