Elaine (the server) is where it's at! She's been there 28 years and won't steer you wrong in what to order and she even gave us a ride home after dinner (no Uber's or taxis were avail and we had taken an Uber there). Great place with great food and an amazing staff.
We went for dinner and I loved the fried green tomatoes and then crab cakes. I ended up taken one home as I was so full. Delicious!! We went back for lunch with an old friend and the Brunswick Stew was excellent.
The prices are higher than other restaurants in the Duck area. I had the pan fried crab cakes. They were VERY bland and the chick peas "salsa" with it were flavorless as well. This salsa is different than the menu shown on FB. I am from Maryland and I know crab cakes. These did not do it for me. The double chocolate brownie was very good, but $7.50 for a brownie with ice cream on top. Probably will not be back.
We've been coming here for years, and it's delightful every single time. The food, the staff, the atmosphere...all perfect! Love. This. Place.
I eat there everytime I visit the outer banks. The food is always outstanding. The staff are all true professionals.
The service is on point, the food is on point, and the portions are on point! A wonderful experience! We eat there at least twice during our week stay in Duck, NC. Five Stars!
I'll keep it simple.......every time we've been here over the last six years on our trips to OBX we come away from The Blue Point saying the same thing. That dinner was awesome as always!
The sweet potato ginger soup was absolutely divine, but was soon overshadowed by the glory that was the tenderloin!!!!! Oh my word! The hardest thing I ever had to do in my life was choose one desert! I was torn between the Madelines with lemon ginger ice cream, the affogato espresso with vanilla bean icecream and brown sugar caramel, and the peau de creme.
