Disappointing so far and I haven't even got to my room. Mariott rewards member. Four doormen outside and not one helped with my luggage up the front stairs. $1200 for two nights in a standard double room. Said it would be $75/ night to upgrade to lakeview even though their website has one available for less than the room I originally paid. Because it's within 24 hours they won't let me cancel and rebook. Bad start to my stay, will probably stick with Hilton. The ambiance is beautiful though. This location was abysmal a few years back. I booked online, paid, arrived to check in, and got charged for another entire room for my stay, wiping out my account. I had to threaten to call the police, and spent a ton of time trying to get my money back. STAY AWAY.
A historic wonder to experience and explore. Excellent restoration, friendly and professional staff, great restaurant options. Comfortable room and bed. Close walking distance to Lake, and so much more.
