We sat at the bar and ordered two Manhattans, just wasn't a G & T day as is was cold and rainy. Told the bartender how we like our drinks made and that was the way we got them, great! The fish tacos were super and the fries were very good. My friend had tuna tacos which he really liked and we each had a side salad and two colossal shrimp (very fresh) with cocktail sauce that had a spoonful of horseradish placed on top, which is a good way to serve it so you could mix the horseradish in to your liking. Great food, great people, great location, great atmosphere. Not much more needs to be said!
Our meal was fantastic. Was a bit disappointing they ran out of the sea bass so quickly as I was planing on that for dinner however my stuffed cod was amazing. The cream sauce was not overpowering and the filling excellent. The roasted butternut squash and chili Brussels sprouts very good as well. The other 3 entrees were equally delicious. Went to the Black Whale with my family and found it a great place to go. Sorry for all the bad reviews that were given but they may have gone when it first opened. The service, food & atmosphere was great. I saw the place packed on a Wednesday night. I would go back again anytime especially to try their 2 for $40.00 special which includes an appetizer to share, meal (good selection to choose from) Sangria & dessert to share. Never go by somebody's review until you try it for yourself. Thumbs Up for the Black Whale.
Went there with Rebecca today to celebrate our anniversary..... we had a great lunch...... our waitress Natalia was excellent .... the setting was perfect very clean inside.... impressive accessories around the bar very nice setup outdoor dining in a band on Sunday afternoons during the summer and to boot the food and bill matched..... excellent!!! We'll be back and we will bring friends and family thank you for a great day and awesome suggestions......
A gorgeous setting and wonderful menu. I wasn't overly impressed with the service as others have been but the food - spicy shrimp as an appetizer and swordfish over risotto for entree-was delicious. It was difficult to pick one dish so we will be back.
