Give a local shop a try! Local coffee shop and bakery. They churn out some amazing breads and pastries, all in what must be a tiny kitchen in the back. Coffee is good, too. Tea selection is great - 30ish varieties. They also have a small selection of sandwiches, soups and ice creams. Staff is always friendly, and if you live in the area, they'll quickly have your standard order memorized and ready practically when you walk in the door.

I love this place...one of the last places you can get a french roast coffee and savories/breads for breakfast if you dont want sweets. The vibe is relaxed and friendly. Been coming here for years.
The Biscuit still has the best scones and bread in Somerville!
one of the nicest crews if ever interacted with. i've gotten more than my fair share of cinnamon sticks, banana bread, and scones. and occasionally a loaf of bread that not enough people clearly know about! def one of my fav iced mocha's in the city. i always get ice coffee. and they make an awesome dirty thai ice tea. been going here for almost 3 years now. my neighborhood go to
Never had a tastier biscuit and my first time trying a baked egg and it was great!
Filed a complaint w/ the Better Business Bureau this morning against this place. They have 3 employees who are wonderful people and everyone else who works there is a complete fuck. The tall girl with the black mustache is the worst of all (besides the owner).
