The birthing team I had at this hospital were really great but unfortunately I did not feel the same with the postpartum unit there. Especially with one of the postpartum nurses we were assigned, I believe her name was Katie. She was just overall nonchalant & barely made the effort to cater to our needs or our baby's needs. At one point she said they didn't have a nursery at the hospital to care for our newborn? Then when my husband reached out to another nurse...she all of sudden confirms there is a nursery?? I gave birth two days ago. As a first-time mom, I can’t thank the nurses enough — they were the heart of it all. I had the best experience of my life thanks to them. Everything was amazing !!!
I recently delivered my baby via C-section at M Health Fairview Southdale in Edina, and the care I received in the maternity ward was nothing short of world-class. Every nurse and staff member I encountered went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, supported, and well cared for during my stay. I want to especially recognize Molly Davis and Rachel (our intake nurse). Amazing experience at the birth center! If we have another child, absolutely having them here. Every nurse we came in contact with from our intake nurse Rachel (amazing!) to our delivery nurse, night time nurse and everyone in between made us feel supported and taken care of. Truly angels! As a previous poster commented regarding the anesthesiologist- I do agree. He had terrible bad side manner and didn’t show much concerned when I had a very rare reaction to it. That would be the only area of improvement.
