I had a terrible experience with Jessica from the Birth Center of St. Pete. Her actions made me feel afraid and, I feel, stalled my labor. When my husband told her how I felt, she did nothing to explain or try to make the situation right. I felt she was incompetent in helping my labor progress and tried techniques she told me she read about in a study during my labor. This review is long overdue! In all fairness, every time I start to write this review I get overcome with emotions and promise myself to come back to it later. My husband and I decided to transfer to the birth center more than halfway into our pregnancy due to covid. He had been deployed during a previous birth and we were not taking the chance of him missing the birth due to covid regulations and the birth center offered a family friendly birthing experience, something that was so important to all of us (we have 2 older chi... read more
I can't say enough good things about them. I had soo many questions and they kindly answered all of them, without making me feel like I was crazy or going overboard with so many questions. All the midwives were very compassionate, thorough, empathetic, approachable, and highly knowledgeable. They truly take the extra time to ensure their clients are well cared for and I never felt rushed. I highly recommend them!
They completed wasted my time!! I spoke on the phone with the receptionist to be sure they accepted my insurance LAST WEEK and they told me yes. I went to tour the birth center and I spoke to Lauren & Jennifer about it - they didn’t have any discrepancies either. As soon as I’m on the way to my appointment they call and tell me not to come because they won’t get paid. So I’ve wasted my gas AND time twice!!! Do your job and confirm ahead of time!
