I had a very dissatisfying hospital birth experience in 2021( as I’m sure most mothers did due to Covid restrictions) which produced a lot of skepticism & anxiety around the birth of this special little girl. What should have been a supported, safe birth experience became traumatic and deeply disappointing. PLEASE READ: Prior to the expected snowstorm (Saturday, Feb 21st) | called the midwife, Jennifer, to ask if there would be any changes to our delivery plan. She told us, "No, we'll proceed as normal." Sunday, Feb 22nd, when my wife had intense contractions, we arrived at the birth center and my wife was measured at 5 cm dilated. I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to have my baby here! What a lovely place this is! Today is my daughter's 2nd birthday and I realized I had never given this place a review so I wanted to take the moment to do so. Everyone on staff was so compassionate and made this time in my life even more special! My husband, mother and children were allowed to be there in the room with me which was exactly what I wanted.
