Worse labor and delivery ever. They didn't want to take me because my care was at a different hospital, im sorry I was on the other side of town when my water broke. Had to threaten to sue them. Never again will I go to that hospital
The majority of the nurses (both L&D and post-partum) were absolutely incredible and the only reason I'm not giving this place 1 star. However, due to a very preventable mistake by the anesthesiologist, his name is Murphy, during my c-section, both my son and I almost died. After my son was born, I felt very medically gaslit by the doctors I came in contact with, including my OB from the Womens Health Group, Dr. Madsen. To say my experience was anything short of horrendously traumatizing would be a MASSIVE understatement. I’m 14 months postpartum and the slew of disturbing interactions that I had still haunts me multiple times a day. My midwife from Womens Health Group only provided birthing services at North Suburban so I had no choice but to attend the hospital if I wanted her to be the one to be there. I give it one star because I've been waiting for 6 hours in a room, I tell them I have to go to home and they said ima go talk to the doctor and come back, but they didn't show up.
The whole staff was professional and helpful, with Catelyn standing out as the most compassionate and helpful health care professional we've ever encountered, her presence and genuine caring nature put us at ease during a difficult time, we feel grateful that she was assigned to us.
