If you're in the mood for an exceptional cup of coffee, breakfast burrito, sandwich, or pastry, you'll kick yourself if you don't stop at The Birdhouse. As a lifelong Seattlelite, I am pretty darned picky when it comes to coffee. Birdhouse has the most wonderfully smooth cold brew, housemade syrups (their cardamom brown sugar is a delight), and fun rotating seasonal drinks that are nothing short of fabulous. Oh dear gawd, the hash breakfast bowl is my new favorite. For me, it's two servings and absolutely worth it. This is my local cafe and I recommend them. They make all the food in-house and everything I've ever eaten, over the years, has been delicious. The hot chocolate is great and they sometimes run a bubble machine outside which I love as seating is outdoors. The staff are kind. I prefer espresso or simple coffee drinks and imo those are inconsistent (again to my taste) so I usually stick to food and hot chocolate.
Amazing breakfast burritos, had the chorizo and it was a beast!
If you’re like me and think there isn’t a lot of great food in Alaska I am telling you this place is it! We found it! Best sandwich spot in Alaska. Hands down. I got the melt and wow! It’s so good! The sandwich’s are massive too!
