Just the kind of place you want to go if you are a bicycle enthusiast and need a little extra advice or help and/or you wannt someone to b.s. about bike theory. Everytime I go into the shop they are more than helpful in finding an awkward part and the technical tips on how to resolve your situation. I specifically recommend them for wheel building. Each mediocre commuter Alex wheels I had built there have stayed true regardless of what I've thrown at them... better than other recommended shops in town. Great builders. What I... read more

I used to think cycling was for hipsters and for people, like my parents, who were going through their midlife crises. With the force of voodoo and black magic, my hipcrisis parents got me on a mountain bike, then I rented a road bike, and one fateful day I walked into the Bike Coop to pick up a beautiful road bike to call my own. The Bike Coop is kind of like Mary Poppins bag, or spoon full of medicine, the shop will either magically have the perfect bike for you, in your size, patiently waiting for you, or it won't. I don'... read more

Great shop! I came in from out of town with an emergency spoke repair needed on my Mavic wheel (not the easiest to service). I had the spokes, but finding the correct spoke wrench was next to impossible. Rod got me right in and took care of it with friendly professionalism. I was in and out under fifteen minutes and a very minimal fee for the service. While the repair was being done, I learned a lot about Albuquerque's bicycling routes and cycling community through chatting with their very friendly and knowledgeable staff. H... read more

I have been going to the Bike Coop for over 20 years? Why? Because they have consistently provided knowledgeable and professional service. I ride high end bikes with sometimes finicky modern equipment. The people at the Bike Coop expertly diagnose and mechanical problems and fix them right the first time! I live in Rio Rancho where there is a bike shop minutes from my home. Instead i drive into Albuquerque to get work done at the Bike Coop instead. I have complete confidence in all the folks who work at this shop and would n... read more

The Bike Coop has been in business for decades. I've been a customer for almost 20 years. They have the best mechanics in town. In fact they have a reputation for excellence even with their competitors. They are a full service shop. They've installed Phil Wood bottom brackets for me and performed complete overhauls. I've never been anything but pleased with their work. Their prices are very reasonable. They are well stocked with parts - including tools, clothing, accessories and a full selection of Brooks saddles. If they ca... read more

Have not had them performing heavy service on my bike. Based on what had been completed, very favorable service. The firm used to have a location on Nob Hills. Always friendly and can offer choices based on customers' budget.

Great place! Has fantastic service couldn't ask for nicer people along with great food and a wonderful golf course. I wish I had more time to spend here. I only had a week in NM and I couldn't help but come back to this place 3 times! My family was getting a bit annoyed at how much i was there. Better than any other course in the area, thanks for the great trip.

This has been my favorite bike shop in town for years. Staff is fantastic and I won't go anywhere else. After riding crappy used bikes forever bought a Pure Fix and absolutely love it!
