I found Shirlee Beck through the recommendation of a friend. I first went to her darling Port Townsend studio for a pedicure (my toenails are impossible for me to trim, and I always had to go to a podiatrist for help), and was amazed how good she is at doing toes. I then started getting gorgeous shellac manicures too, and go regularly for mani-pedis. I love both her excellent work and the lack of toxic chemicals (she doesn’t do acrylics). I found Shirlee last summer and she is by far the best manicurist I've experienced. I now go every 2-3 weeks for a shellac manicure and every 6 weeks for a pedicure. It is my special treat to myself all year long. I love her little studio and she is a genuinely good person. I regularly get compliments on my nails, which has not happened to me often before I found her. She is so attentive to giving you the best care possible as well as being a fun person to talk to. I get a pedicure once a month with Shirlee. I'm a diabetic and her attention to sanitation/ sterilization is top notch. To say nothing of the friendly/fun conversations. It's a bright spot in my day.
