Excellent place for either short or long term stays, with very professional landlords. I stayed here for over a year, in two different units. Rochester in general is very peaceful. The Beacon is quiet and has everything you need within pretty much walking distance. My special thanks to Kari for always being so kind and for taking such good care of The Beacon.

The location is amazing, walking to Mayo. Next to the shuttle if the weather is bad. Great residents and a nice clean building!

Pros: Relatively cheap, utilities included, close to Mayo Clinic (next to a parking lot with a bus free for employees), fully furnished, on-site shared laundry room, and short-term lease options available. Cons: It can get very humid during the summer, especially in the basement, and the AC units can be noisy. Also, while the area is generally safe, often loud people hang out by the entrance of the building. Overall, given the cost, the experience mostly met the expectations. I would recommend The Beacon for short-term stays... read more
