BUYER BEWARE - UNREASONABLE BUSINESS PRACTICES FROM BAY RESORT HOTEL'S MANAGEMENT GROUP. My son's 14U baseball team was registered to play a tournament at Sports at the Beach the weekend of Oct 19, 2024. 11 families from our team booked rooms at Bay Resort Hotel through the tournament's stay-to-play provider, Book Your Block, paying one-night deposits ($200) to the hotel. Heads up to anyone playing in a Sports at the beach tournament and looking to book at Bay Resort Waterfront Hotel, DON’T. Our team followed the rules for SATB and used their stay-to-play provider, Book Your Block, to book our accommodations at Bay Resort Hotel in Dewey Beach. SATB cancelled our tournament due to not enough teams registered and this hotel wouldn’t refund our deposit. My first experience with Beckie came when I accidently booked the WRONG DATE through booking.com. She was so helpful and responsive to seeing that I was refunded and carefully explained the process to me, so I could remedy the situation. Then she calmly found me a suitable room for the appropriate date. It was a late hour and she was so helpful.
