Magical place. Cozy and friendly. It was like a scene right out of an Alps style movie
Hiked Wheeler Peak and stopped for lunch on the way back to the trailhead. Excellent food. Bavarian Spaetzle!!!!
Don't drive up, ski or board down and get a cold pint, a hot meal and some true Bavarian hospitality to boot
What an amazing time. We are locals from town with no reservations. They figured out how to accommodate us in for an early Apres-Ski meal. Excellent service...food..and over the top staff! Thanks!!
I got goulashed at the Barvarian! You know, the soup?! I got it poured all over me... Helmet, gloves snow pants! The staff was so apologetic they night my lunch and drinks! Now I gotta learn how to spell, goulash!
Drove 2 hours and up dirt roads to over 9000 ft. altitude only to find it closed. Web site had posted hours, about a dozen signs along the dirt roads pointing to the restaurant and nowhere was it posted that it was closed. TOTAL DISREGARD for potential customers.
Great place to stay convenient but for skiing the altitude is to high for sleeping. Next time we will further down the mountain in a rental home. Also the staff are not particular pleasant thinking we spent over $1000 per night.
