Update Feb 2026 Ordered another cake and it was fantastic. For my daughter's birthday. It was so well decorated and not super sweet. Frosting is kind of sweet but many of the store bought cakes are just too much on the sweetness. These cakes are a nice balance and a number of parents at the party liked it. Michelle was wonderful to work with, very responsive, and willing to work with our vague ideas for Winnie the Pooh inspired cake pops for my baby shower. They turned out so cute!
I ordered a custom cake for my son’s 16th birthday and it was exactly what I wanted and perfect for him! It was beautiful and so delicious. The raspberry puree between the layers tasted amazing. The cake was rainbow on the inside and with vanilla cake and vanilla buttercream it wasn’t overly sweet. My son LOVED it and all the guests at the party enjoyed it too. I will absolutely be ordering cakes from the battered spoon again for other future events.
Michelle goes above and beyond every time I really can’t thank her enough she made my sons day with this cake I found her a yr ago and would never order from anyone else every cake looks amazing but what I really like about her cakes is frosting is not overly sweet HIGHLY RECOMMEND another amazing cake Michelle thank you
We had the absolute best experience with The Battered Spoon! Michelle made 200 cupcakes in three different flavors, along with an 8-inch cake for our wedding, and everything was phenomenal.
