In my personal dealings with them the Bascom group proved themselves to be unethical, unscrupulous and dishonest. In my firsthand expirience with him, a founding partner of the bascom group was cited by a government entity for engaging in: -illegal construction -construction performed without first obtaining permits -failure to comply; a General Manager's hearing was held which placed the property in REAP -His property manager refused to accept, and returned rent payments -He engaged in a fake ellis act eviction.
To the owners of The Overlook Apartments and Bascom Group: I hope you actually read this, because what happened to my disabled son in Unit 1713 was heartbreaking. For months, his bedroom flooded from an AC leak I reported over and over. Water soaked his floor, his walls, even his bed. My experience with David Kim at the Bascom group was terrible. David was my best friend but led me and my partner, a Navy SEAL, down a rabbit hole of lies. My partner ended up committing suicide, partially, as a result of this. I don't want anyone else to be hurt as a result of his or Bascom'e lies. Please encourage David to follow through on his words and promises. He doesn't seem to understand the severity of his actions and inactions. I'll remove this review once they uphold their promises.
