I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience tonight at The Barrel in Bartonville was unacceptable. Our waiter made at least four separate mistakes throughout the meal, but one was completely avoidable and had real consequences. We specifically asked him to have my young son’s chicken and fries cooled before bringing them to the table because we didn’t want him to burn his mouth. They removed to the most popular dish pecan crusted chicken until the fall. The prices on the menu continue to increase everytime it changes. Great drinks and the other dishes are ok, but as regulars it's hard to see the only dish you love be removed, to then have all the wait staff say that others have experienced the same thing. Well I guess we will come back in the fall… maybe. The wait staff is great.
