A very vintage hotel but close to hospitals.... parking suxks and you have to walk across street to other hotel to check in...
Called to confirm room details of a booking and was unfortunately hung up on when the, I assume, teenager manning the front desk didn't have the vocabulary to explain why only some of their rooms state "no AC" on their website but, misleadingly, not all of them.
I stayed here recently and unfortunately had a very bad experience. The room I was given was unsafe — the main door lock did not work, the chain lock was broken, and the deadbolt could still be opened from the outside even when locked from inside. I reported this issue multiple times to the staff, who promised it would be fixed, but nothing was ever done. Was also denied a room swap due to no vacancy. Tall woman at front desk was rude several times to my partner and I. Bathroom was not properly stocked (no conditioner and hardly any bodywash). Drain in shower did not work properly, so tub would flood. Otherwise the room itself was good. Would not stay again.
I stayed at the Baroness Hotel over Memorial Day weekend 8/29 and 8/30 and was able to book a last minute room at an affordable rate, which I appreciated. The hotel has an old fashioned charm, the rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable.
