Perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon ! Spend a relaxing afternoon at this Oceanside tented venue , eating scrumptious fresh seafood , and sipping on yummy signature drinks. All the while listening to some amazing live music! ( We were lucky enough to hear Legends of Summer ) Staff is busy, but attentive , very willing to make suggestions and make substitutions on your menu choices .
Great fun, we ate inside because it was humid. FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING- Fresh and hot. Because we sat inside, there was only a 5 minute wait in comparison to the 35 minute wait for outside. Our serve was prompt and the order came in no time. I though the cost of Food was a bit pricey - $18 for 3 small crab cakes- BUT when I took on bite of the Crab cake there was pure Crab Meat!! NO BATTER- all crab meat! All in all it was a really wonderful experience!!
Naked lobster role and mussles!!! Fab!music - Ian and Dan Live Entertsinment! Fab!! Will go again on thursday evening!
Food was awesome but the service was awful. Day after the 4th and they were def understaffed. The servers had tables all over the restaurant. Many patrons were flagging down anyone they could to get something. Other than that food was good.
Service was crummy. Food portions equate to a kids plate. Service was slow. Lobster was on point. The rest- not so much. Bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a few weeks.
Ok, so it's an overpriced lobster roll but I was The most delicious overpriced lobster roll I've ever eaten! Now the clam chowder was a different story, it was the most delicious reasonably priced clam chowder I've ever eaten!
The worst service ever! We ordered an appetizer and drinks, along with our entree. While we were enjoying our drinks and waiting on our app, our entrees came out and we never saw the app. We asked the food server to check and he never came back. Then, I asked for tartar sauce for my crab cakes and had to ask 3 more people before someone finally came out; by that time my crab cakes were cold. We decided to pay and they ran my card that I had to give them at the bar since we were in the bar area to start a tab, even though I h... read more
The food was not even as good as Long John Silver's, and it was $85 for $7.50 worth of food. The service was horrific. It took over 2.5 hours to eat dinner on hard wood picnic tables. They told our party that there was air conditioning, but there is not. Avoid this place.
The Barking Crab is a decent seaside bar, good food, but the prices are a little high compared to most seafood places. A clam plate is 30 dollars, when you can go to pretty much any seafood place in MA with the same or better quality and get a Clam plate for 15-20 bucks. Cool place to hang out, but a little pricey.
The Barking Crab has a 4 star rating with 562 reviews.
The Barking Crab is open now. It will close at 6:00 p.m.
