I thoroughly enjoyed the Barefoot Forge Intro to Welding class. Learned a ton in the 4hr class… technique, safety, PRACTICAL wisdom. Craig’s engaging storytelling kept the class energized, and those stories will stay with me -carrying with them the points he was teaching in the moment. The hands-on practice was terrific, with just the right amount of coaching along the way. 100% recommend this class to anyone who comes across it! If you’re considering taking the class, you will very be glad you did.

Did the intro to welding class with Craig for $250 and it is beyond worth it. For 4 hours, Craig walked us through the fundamentals/types of products/actual welding, etc. and he couldn't be more supportive. Coming from someone with literally zero welding knowledge, he explained everything really well and it was an amazing class (plus he's a hilarious guy with some awesome stories). If you are even considering the class, I would highly recommend, it is worth your money and then some. Definitely signing up for the blacksmithin... read more

Excellent experience and highly recommended for anyone in the Burgh - had a great 4 hour intro into blacksmithing with Craig. We made some really cool bottle openers. Definitely looking forward to a future class on knife making.

The classes here are the best. From the teaching and use of humor in navigating this field, to the hands-on work and help in achieving the object. I did the bottle opener class and I feel like I know more than just making them. Really great place and will be back again for more classes!

Hands down, the best experience I’ve had. Craig is the nicest human ever; he’s so encouraging, kind, funny, and extremely personable. Honestly I was nervous to enter a shop with a guy I didn’t know with intimidating tools, but Craig made me feel comfortable and like a pro. He made the whole experience worthwhile. My partner loves the ring and the whole idea behind it. Much love
