Ordered a porkroll, egg, & cheese on everything bagel with salt pepper and ketchup. Egg over easy. I think the picture says enough.
RecommendedGreat bagels with large selection. Service is very good and with a personal touch. They put together creative options which I enjoy.
Two weekends in a row we waited for over a half hour for 2 ok bagel sandwiches. When asked the girl at the counter how much longer it would be, she put her phone down to go check and replied with 10 more minutes after we had already been waiting 20 minutes. We were told that there were call in orders but they were honestly not that busy. We would call ahead but the first 2 times we did that our order was completely wrong. won't be going back, which is a shame because we live so close.
Ill start this by saying that i am usually very forgiving of these things, having worked in the industry. let's start with the counter staff. I understand these are teenagers and it's great that they are being hired but they should not be on the phone and talking and joking around with each other while customers are in front of them, it is very disrespectful and easy for them to ignore a new customer. next is the long wait times. A huge thank you to the Bagel Club for their generous donation of 500 bagels, coffee, spreads, and paper products, that allowed us to provide a much appreciated bagel breakfast to all the staff at Hunterdon Central. The staff have been working so hard to support the students during this challenging time, and greatly appreciated the community recognizing their efforts. Very disappointed about my first visit here. The bagels are hard on the outside and soft inside -- which is exactly how a bagel ought to be. So points there. But, I ordered a jalapeno bagel and there wasn't one darn jalapeno in it. (It basically was a plain bagel.) And it had enough cream cheese on it to choke a horse. If I didn't have to eat it in the car, I would have scraped some of it off, and had enough to load up a second bagel. I got a lukewarm cup of coffee with it, that was a bit on the watery side.
