I am new to the area and needed to find a new hairstylist. I came across Back Porch Salon. I was in such a rush to get my hair done so I went with the first available, Makayla. Sometimes that could seem a little iffy. One would think their availability being so open is a little suspicious- BUT IT WASNT- AT ALL! Looked forward to having my hair done by Arlen at the Back Porch Salon in Lafayette, Indiana where I’m visiting for work. Got a referral from a coworker and was really excited to arrive back home to Florida with hair all done this time! I arrived on time to my haircut and she was 30mins behind, i got my eyebrows waxed and I just don’t feel like they look very good. . I sat down for my haircut and things were going okay and then she told me she made someone’s hair uneven?!? Why would she tell me that.. It's affordable, clean, and friendly, but I didn't like how my perm turned out. Most of my hair got a nice curl. However, the back of my hair (like 20% of my entire hair) was not permed properly, which I figured out right after I got back home.
The worst experience ever! I DON’T RECOMMEND GEMMA MAYORGA AT ALL!!! SHE WAS THE WORST! I told her many different time how I didn’t like my hair! (And as a hairdresser myself I would’ve tried to fix it if that was my client!) instead she just looked at me like a deer in highlights when I told her I didn’t like it!
