This has literally been the worst residence of my life. Poor yard care. Extremely loud occupants. Horribly overpriced. And to top it off I left the apartment spotless with zero damage still being charged $150 for a cleaning deposit with little explanation why. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!
The new property manager is one of the rudest people I have ever met. It takes the maintenance staff 3 or more trips to fix things. The buildings are old and cracking and need completely renovated. I cannot believe the price we paid for such poor living conditions. The office staff in general is just not intelligent and did not communicate issues to maintenance staff. I just moved out of Preston Hills last weekend after being there for a year. Firstly, when we first moved in the lady who leased me my apartment had absolutely no idea what she was doing. She gave me incorrect information about paying rent, trash, and water bills together. I ended up with huge late fees for "unpaid" water bills even though the leasing agent told me it was all included in the rent. The management team changed constantly. the office workers are nice, but management is horrible! do not live here...they just want your money and do not care about taking care of their tenants or their property.
I lived there for 3 months in a bottom apartment. We had to live in a hotel the last month there because our pothead up stairs neighbor would hotbox his apartment and it would end up doing the same to ours. I should have known when I saw repeat reports about how they show you a really nice unit then it's not even close to what you get because that is 100% true. My roommate and I moved in at the beginning of August and until this week we have been happy with our choice of moving into the Landings. On Tuesday 9/16 my roommate woke up to bees in here bedroom. She is allergic to bees. She put in a maintenance request and we received an email that it was taken care of. A few short hours later there were more bees in her room. Whatever you do, stay away. 12+ maintenance issues since we moved in October 2013, ranging from ceiling leaks (the same leak 5 times in 2 months!) to kitchen sink leaks. Maintenance staff is incompetent and the management staff refuses to call professional assistance.
