My daughter was looking to buy a gift for her Youth Pastor when she was kicked out because she "didn't look the part." She was trying to do something nice and she left embarrassed because an employee named John wouldn't help her and literally shooed her out like an animal. I don't know if John is ageist or misogynistic but in either case he should be fired. No one should be treated this way. Shaming a child is wrong.
Two children from my church went into the art of shaving to buy a gift for their youth leader while I waited outside. John, an employee at the Art of Shaving, shooed out the kids and told them they weren't allowed in the store. The kids felt so embarrassed and were very upset that they weren't even asked if they could be helped.
