I spoke to Terri one of the nurses to the drs I see and she was rude. Cut me off as I was talking. I didnt know I had 2 different Cardiologists. One for my pacemaker and another one. Which is what i was trying to say. Once I asked her name then she was being nice. No reason to be rude to me. Ive been going there since 2015. When Dr. Pena was there who put my pacemaker in. He took the time. Now they are in and out. I might find a different practice.
Great group. Your doc needs to be more than just the smartest one in the room. Communication is critical and my experience so far has been fantastic, especially w/ the fact that my problem wasn’t simple. The nurse who is very experienced can be a little abrasive and assumptive. But, I’m a nurse too and would just go toe to toe til she completely listened to what I was actually calling about and saying. I like her but I could see this being an issue with non clinical folks. Absolutely horrible experience. Dr Pena was incredible with putting in the defibrillator in the hospital, however ever since then it was just a game to see how quickly he could see me in the office. It was for 25-30 seconds every visit and I dreaded going to the front desk whether it was to check in, call the office to make an appointment or check out at the end of my shift.
