I reached out to Antioch counseling for my 4 year old son. He has experienced tremendous abuse and we both desperately need guidance and healing. The callousness that met me at the front office is when I began to ask questions (we have been to one ill-fitting counselor here in Illinois so far, and I am trying to be careful) put me in tears. Outright rude and not compassionate. As a “Christian” group, you should be the light shining in the darkness- not snuffing it out. I am very disappointed.
Several years ago, I sought help with Antioch for grief counselling. It was the most horrendous mistake I made in my entire life. I felt my therapist knew me, and I trusted her and became somewhat dependent upon her to try and help me fill the gaping hole of emptiness and sadness that plagued me 24/7.
