I went to this vet for 11 yrs. I was late on one bill (due to job circumstances and hard times). He sent me to collections. I paid the collection company once I was back on my feet. I called Dr. Zuczek for help with my 12 yr old dog. He brought up the bill and said he won t see my dog unless I pay cash. I didn t have a problem with that. What I had a problem with is the lecture I got. He didn t even want to know what was wrong with my dog. I called another vet. They came to my home and told me we have to put my dog down. Do not take your pet here ! This place will take your money for routine visits but will leave you high and dry when your pet is old and you need to make decisions. This guy is heartless.
My pets were in his care for 7 years and when one of them was very sick he refused to see her because it was almost closing time on a weekend!! When my husband complained about it he asked him to get out of the clinic.
I have been a client of Dr. Zs for several years (with multiple pets along the way) and am proud to call him our vet. When I am in need of advise, he and his staff are always willing to answer questions; it is VERY difficult to find any Dr. these days who is willing to speak to you one on one! Indeed, he is not always available for us because he is running the clinic on his own, but I have always enjoyed the supporting staff. Prices are awesome! I am horrified after many years taking my dog here for routine visits . . he completely failed me at end of life decisions. He told me he was busy with many other things and if I felt unsure or had questions that I should just bring her in to be put down. No compassion at a difficult time . . when all I really needed was a kind word and an explanation of what to expect. I ended up with someone else at the 11th hour . . . it never shouldve happened like that. This "dr" needs to lean compassion and kindness !!
DONT GO THERE!!!! He "spayed" my kitten in March. In July she went into heat twice and then again in September. Each time he told me "Oh, I am not sure why." I finally took her somewhere else and had to do MAJOR surgery to find out that he did not actually spay her in the first place! He did not do the surgery correct and left MANY parts still inside her. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE!!
5 STARS ISNT ENOUGH! Dr. Zuczek and his staff are not only attentive and knowledgeable, they have a knack for remembering ALL of their patients. I always feel like Im stopping by a "friends house" when taking my pets to the Animal Clinic. My pets have been patients of Dr. Zuczek for many years and he is always willing to go the extra mile to answer all of my questions and concerns. I switched to Dr. Zuczek after my last vet (who left the area) missed a cancer diagnoses on my last dog despite 3 visits over a year. The service here was prompt & polite, my current dog has many allergy problems & Dr Zuczek has helped alleviate much of his suffering. I have a chow mix & i guess these guys get a lot of mean or scared dogs (chows apparently are biters), after getting to know each other, they get along fine without a growl or snarl no matter how invasive the procedure. All my animals have been taken to Dr. Zuczek since he took over Dr. Jarmans practice from about late 1980s. He and his staff have given nothing but the best care to my 2 ferrets (lived to about 5-7 yrs). A tortie-shell cat who lived to age 17. My dog has passed away this past November from lymphoma, she was 15. I currently have two cats aged 10 and 3. I wouldnt trust anyone else, period.
