Lisa is so helpful!! She took the time with me on the phone, replying to my emails, made at least an hour drive to bring equipment for my mom, answered all of our questions, brought us helpful booklets, comforted my mom while talking to her and I could go on and on but I do want to say thank you for taking time to make sure I understood as I'm hearing impaired and read lips. it makes things much easier and more comfortable being around someone who is down to earth and caring.
I have the highest regard for the dedicated staff at our Chapter. They are professional, skilled, and energetic. Persons dealing with ALS (pALS) would benefit greatly from establishing contact with the chapter. The family will be stronger as they participate in the conversations with the staff, accept the consults, and find relief with financial help available in the form of respite and help with bills. I'm proud to be a part of an organization that so clearly puts their patients and their mission first. All the work that goes on behind the scenes to keep that focus has been amazing to see. Keep up the good work!!!

We did not have to live with this disease as long as many families do, but as very young adults we were so grateful for their help. When I moved home I was inspired to give back and joined many of their planning committees. At each event I meet a family who is enduring this disease and who are so grateful... read more
Hello ALS Family of Northern Ohio: It’s Marva Kay Jones. I can’t believe that it’s 12/7/17 and the year is coming to a close quickly. Thank you for a fantastic year of support, advocacy, inspiration and hope for 2018. The family team of my dad, Jerry’s Jewels remains strong and thanks all who supported the team in many ways this year!! I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
So disappointed that the als advocate who helped out the most over the last 9 years, Robin mower died and you couldn’t find enough time to send a card to her family or even post something about her on your website. She was your biggest cheerleader. I so sad and disappointed in the ALS organization.
