The location is excellent, with convenient access to shops and healthcare within walking distance. However, in my experience, the building has challenges with noise isolation, construction quality, and maintenance. These factors may be worth considering for potential tenants.
My daughter moved to Winnipeg last month to start grad school at U of M. She is an international student, so lots to learn about the area. When looking for an apartment a couple months ahead of the move, we were helped immensely by May, the leasing consultant, who is a delightful blend of professional and kind. Worst place ever from the beginning! Was at the 80 park east location. The unit was poorly built and incomplete during the 2 year stay. You can hear everything from the neighbours as there is virtually 0 soundproofing or not installed correctly. 0 help from the property manager about any recurring issue. ( never received a follow up on any if my inquiries ) , did not handle any inquiry in a timely fashion , had to reach out to a higher up contact for any task to be complete. Absolutely do not move into this building. You can hear everything your neighbors do — from early morning to late at night. Dogs constantly bark from balconies, and it gets to a point where daily life feels unbearable. Since new management took over, everything got worse. We filed complaints about two Dobermans from a restricted breed, but nothing was done. The dogs — and the risk — are still here. It’s clear the management doesn’t care.
