Alex is so friendly and welcoming. She is also very knowledgeable about all textures of hair.
I truly dislike leaving a one-star review, but in this case it’s well deserved. Would have left zero stars if this was an option. I searched for a Dominican hair salon and chose this one because of its proximity and decent reviews. Booking online was easy, and I even received reminders leading up to my appointment for Friday at 12 noon. However, when I arrived, the door was locked. I knocked, but no one answered. I’m beyond annoyed…here at 11:45 am on Friday Oct 3 and clearly the lights are on that say open however door is locked and no one is inside. Please update business hours if they are not accurate..I live close by but what if someone drove far based on website hours. First time and wanted to try but very bad first impression wont be back!
Update: I took my daughter to her regular stylist and she confirmed the hair did not show signs of relaxer. I updated my rating as this wouldn't be fair to the salon owner. My sister-in-law took my daughter along with her cousin here. I didn't know she had never been to this salon. My daughter (age 10) goes to ONE hairstylist and she's natural. Te va a quedar el estilo lindo, pero usan relajante en los productos. Aquí estoy lavándole el pelo a mi nieta que fue ahí con su tía y el pelo le hiede a huevo... el olor es horrible. Charita que esto este pasando ya que ella tiene el pelo lindo riso. Ahora tiene mechones medios machacados. Que bárbaros. They put relaxer in the products. I'm helping wash my granddaughter's hair and the eggy rancid smell is pungent. If you're going to do this, at least be honest with clientele. Smh.
