Sarina is patient, knowledgable and truly an expert in all things related to childhood development and feeding. It is clear that she is living her purpose and passion in her role. Our son was born prematurely (32 weeks) with IUGR at 2.3 lbs. He spent 4+ months in the NICU as he was silently aspirating and also refluxing and aspirating. She has always treated him with so much care and compassion. What I appreciate most about working with her is the way she gently guides us and helps our family navigate his needs with confidence and hope. She has made a meaningful difference in our lives.
Great experience with the feeding therapy! Our son has learned a lot about food and become more adventurous with eating in general. Sarina has a neuro affirming and empathetic approach. They also offer parent coaching as part of the feeding therapy! It would not be accessible to our family if insurance had not granted us a network deficiency, if cost is a barrier for you I recommend looking into this!
The Airplane Spoon has provided the type of long-term, individualized support which I always hoped we'd find following my child's diagnosis. Since the pandemic group sessions have been especially difficult to find so I really appreciate that Nina does offer those, and that there is so much thought put into keeping them varied and engaging and getting the balance right for a group of potentially very different personalities and strengths. We love the Airplane Spoon! Sarina is so knowledgeable, patient and empathetic. My daughter adores her and we’ve seen so much progress in so little time. My daughter is so excited to go to every session to try new foods and has lost all previous fear, aversions and pickiness. Highly recommend The Airplane Spoon!
