1195 North Avenue “ The Lofts” Very nice Building. Quiet , comfortable. Fitness Center . Laundry. Off Lobby Apartment open floor plan living area / kitchen. 2 Large pantry closets . 2 double closets in apartment. Plenty of heat/ paved parking Lot . All amenities included . Elevator building. I have lived here for a few Years.
DON’t move into 1195 North ave. Apartments they were sold a few days ago from Farrell properties to the Brookside people ( aka: Bove family) the building has gone downhill since 2020 it looks Dirty, worn out … Noise some nights running up & down stairs at 2:30 am , slamming doors previous owners did nothing andi heard this Bove family will do less … Come check it out and see for yourself.Elevator was Broken for 10 days people had to walk down stairs with Large dogs
Schoolhouse lofts at 1195 North Ave - Lived here for a less than a year but rent includes all utilities even internet and laundry if it's not in your unit. Never heard much noise - just the typical occasional footsteps from upstairs neighbor. Open kitchen with living room. Huge windows so there's a lot of natural light which is great. I have 2 cats and it was one of the very few apartments that I could find that would allow two pets. A lot of the other residents have dogs but I've never heard barking inside. Noise complaints are definitely ignored by management ! I complained about constant early morning noise coming from the one 4th floor resident who runs his 65 lb dog around the apartment late night and early morning (any time between 11:00 pm and 3:00 am) nearly every night and was told that they weren't going to do anything about it and I should just call the police.The tenant before me left over the noise and the next door neighbor said he'd been complaining about the problem for almost a year. We lived at Thayer Commons for a total of 2 years. Each year we lived in a different unit (a studio and then a 1 bedroom). Although it is by no means a bad place to live, it is not as glamorous as the website makes out. You are paying high end prices for a very basic unit. The units are all very small and there are many strict rules you have to adhere to.
