Dr. Thapar is so knowledgeable in her field. I have total confidence in her treatment plan for me. She is caring, kind and a great listener. She changed my life during a very dark time as she listened and assessed my mental health needs. I am grateful to her for the way I am able to live a “normal” life and manage my stress and anxiety. I would totally trust her to treat anyone in my own family.
I've been seeing Dr. Thaper since 2015, and I really can't imagine myself seeing another psychiatrist. She tries to understand how you're feeling, and it shows in her treatment and suggestions.She's kind and caring and likes to build report. So, if you're open-minded, she'll be open-minded in return.She's very highly recommended. She's seen a lot in her field, so she knows a lot. I feel that my treatment is tailor made for me, with no cookie-cutter approach to psychiatry.
Dr. Thapar has treated both my Dad and daughter. Her therapy has been a tremendous help to both of them. Her insight has also given me a better understanding of their issues. I would highly recommend her.
Dr. Thapar began treating my sister 6+ years ago when she was admitted to the hospital in really bad shape. She listened to her and us and was so kind and caring. We really appreciate her expertise and the fact she did not did not overmedicate her. Thanks to Dr. Thapar, my sister is stable and thriving. We are so grateful to Dr. Thapar for her patience and guidance and are so blessed to have found her. Her staff is very friendly and always willing to help and get in touch with Dr. Thapar when there is a need.

thapar - you must learn how to tell the difference between non-genetic Reactive Attachment Disorder and genetic Bipolar Disorder!
My 80 yr-old husband is bipolar and has dementia. He started getting dementia (2007) and is easier to manage. He has seen Dr. Thapar for many years. He would stop his medicines saying he was fine. At times he would get dangerous, and after 3-4 weeks, had to be committed. This happened 19 times since 1983. He never went voluntarily. We met Dr. Thapar after such a hospitalization. She is the first doctor he really liked, and always makes a point to tell him how good he is doing.
She made my day! I've seen Dr. Thapar for a variety of things over the past 25 years. Last Thursday when I was there she made a comment that made me look at a situation in a different way that had both of us laughing. I told her she made my day! If anyone is looking for a smart, compassionate, and caring psychiatrist I'd recommend her.
Dr. Thapar is great! But her assistant is sooo rude and a liar too. She is literally the reason I think I might have to change her.
