I’ve never dreaded going to the doctor until Dr. Tran. You don’t want to be here, and it’s glaringly obvious he doesn’t either. Being a Vietnamese-speaking patient only helps my case so much before his condescending demeanor inevitably triumphs. I only continue to see this doctor due to conformity of the system, not by will or pleasure. I’m sure he’s contributed tons to the community in the past, but as he currently practices, he is the embodiment of everything wrong with the American healthcare system. Rude and condescending and wasted my time. I scheduled an appointment for a prescription refill and STI/yeast infection testing. I got neither. He told me all I could get was a (very cursory and totally unnecessary) physical wellness exam today, and that he'd need two weeks to get my medical records from my other physicians before he could do a pelvic exam.
