Waterfront rooms with full kitchens, all rooms have all the amenities of home , pots & pans , plates, laundry, close to Groton Naval base and Electric Boat, Pfizers. 18 minutes from Mohegan Sun casino and 20 minutes form Foxwoods/ MGM casinos. We specialize in clean beautiful rooms with the best sunsets . We have our own 250 foot dock , we allow fishing for guest and have docks. At the end of our dock you are in the middle of the Thames river. Nothings like it!!

I almost never leave reviews for hotels but I thought I would make an exception for the fine folks at the Thames Inn. Upon arriving for checkout, I was informed by the attendant that my travel app mistakenly allowed me to make a reservation despite the hotel being full for the evening. Instead of saying “sorry, out of luck,” she made a couple phone calls and was able to hook me up with an apartment on the same block as the hotel. We booked a room for one night and got there around 4pm The all place didn’t have electricity and they offered refund to found out that they lied. They charged my CC and when you call no one picks up the phone. Shame!
Don’t stay in this place. Terrible!!! I won’t use foul language but this is behind disgrace.
Nicest people ever
We were initially a bit worried about this hotel due to not so super good past ratings, but still gave it a shot as it fitted the location we wanted to be at during this night. At the end we were very happy with our choice: Despite ordering just a single room, we could a significant free room upgrade to a full suite with two bed rooms and a balcony which was really nice.
