Prasit “Ken” Khachenrum ‘s extensive career in food and beverage began in his native Thailand at the renowned Grand Hyatt Hotel in Bangkok. He came to the US in the early 1990’s, settled in the Washington, DC area, where he worked at several fine eateries. He was the Sushi Chef for Yosaku Japanese Restaurant there for several years. no go. – I went there personally and thought the food wasn't very fresh and service was merely okay. I have a friend who works at this restaurant as the sushi chef. He told me that this restaurant is not very clean at all. They use left over rice from the day before for their sushi. They buy a lot of their fish from supermarkets instead of professional places. As much as I love sushi, I'm pretty picky with my sushi. I tried most of the sushi restaurants around here but Thaijindesu is my favorite. Love the taste, the atmosphere, and the service! I brought quite few friends, who never had sushi before in their life and they all felt in love with the sushi! One of them hesitate to eat sushi else where and he also loves the fried rice and Ton Katsu.
The food was absolutely delicious. I loved how they had a seperate section for Thai food and another for Japanese food and sushi! Just perfect!! Their mixed drinks had a little kick in them so I was pleased with that also.
