I signed up for a Medicare Advantage plan last October with Aetna Medicare, spent 45 minutes or so speaking with their enrollment representative at which time we went over the Dr. I was seeing at this location and wanted to stay with her. Recently I have gotten (2) phone calls from this office telling me the Aetna Medicare Advantage plan HMO/POS I chose is not a plan they accept! * This is a prime example of what's wrong with America's sick care system! * The front desk seems to have no professional training; I have never witnessed them engage a patient upon entering. Patients must seemingly engage them first. Avoid Tampa General Medical Group if you are looking for quality compassionate professional care. Leadership is aware of the decline but support it.

Front desk staff with glasses and red hair was very rude and outright refused to help me despite me calling ahead and letting them know the mixup between my primary and their location. Her statement was its the end of the day we won't see you. It was 330pm on a friday its not like I showed up at 5 asking to be seen this is not my primary so when the appointment was scheduled I went to my primary doctor office. She need a retrain on customer service
